Flyability released its November 2022 update for the Elios 3, Cockpit app, and Inspector software bringing a number of improvements to the Elios 3 flight and post-processing workflows.
Elios 3 has been updated to version 22-19, Cockpit has been updated to version 3.2.0.0.22-19 and Inspector updated to version 4.2.0.215.
Thermal camera in cockpit
Flyabiliy's Cockpit app now lets you choose between two camera feeds. A live feed that only displays the view from the RGB camera or a live feed that overlays the thermal camera with the RGB camera.
New point cloud visualiser
Flyability's Inspector software improves point cloud visualisation, now being able to colourise the point cloud using height, intensity, distance, or time data. The Elios 3 is now visualised, and shading added to the point cloud for improved usability.
Adjustable coordinates
In both Cockpit and Inspector, the X, Y, Z coordinates of the take-off location are now displayed on screen. The take-off location can also be reset by clicking on them at any point during the flight, resulting in a new 'take-off' location being set.
LiDAR point cloud review
After completing a flight and shutting down the drone, the point cloud can now be viewed by the pilot directly in the Cockpit app by clicking on the open map button.
Above is a short video captured using the Elios 3 in Sphere Drones' Syndey office of Inspector v4.2's new point cloud visualiser.
