With Flyability’s Elios 3 becoming the essential indoor inspection tool since its release in 2022, the company has decided to officially commence the End Of Life process for both its predecessors, the Elios 1 and Elios 2.
Since Sphere Drones undertook Flyability as a partner, our team have used both the Elios 1 and Elios 2 through the years in operations for our clients, being endlessly effective in capturing data in inaccessible spaces like sewers and underground mine sites while making indoor inspections safer for our team and our clients.
We now use the Elios 3 for all our indoor and underground inspections, and the team agrees it is Flyability’s most effective and robust inspection drone yet.
Elios 1 and Elios 2 trade in offer
To encourage existing Elios owners to upgrade to the Elios 3, we are offering a trade-in discount in exchange for your old Elios 1 or Elios 2.
In exchange for the return of an Elios 1 or Elios 2, you will receive a 10% discount on the price of a package including the Elios 3 drone (e.g. Elios 3 premium, Elios 3 surveying, Elios 3 UT, etc.).
This encompasses Elios 3 standalone packages or with one or multiple payloads. Get in quick though as this trade in offer is only valid until October 31, 2024.
What does this mean for Elios 1 and Elios 2 owners?
- Sale of the Elios 1 and Elios 2 will cease after October 31, 2024. The Elios 1 and Elios 2 drones will not be available for sale after October 31, 2024. Any purchases made before then will still include the 1-year warranty but without an extension option.
- End of Software Maintenance after December 31, 2026. After this date, Flyability will no longer issue maintenance releases, bug fixes, patches, or updates. Until this date, there will still be support for Elios 1 & 2.
- End of Support after June 30, 2027. After this date, Flyability’s Support will no longer be guaranteed for requests related to Elios 1 and 2. Please note that spare part availability is limited to available stock and ability to reorder from our suppliers. You can contact our team for information about part availability.

- This offer is valid for up to 2 drones per customer (this is a 1:1 exchange; it is not possible to return two Elios 2 for one Elios 3). The serial number of the drones to be traded-in shall be communicated at time of purchase of the Elios 3.
- Quotes for this exchange will be available until September 30, 2024.
- The offer cannot be used in combination with any other discount offer.
- This offer is not valid for reseller demonstration units.
- The drones must be for shipping before the end of 2024.
- The traded-in drone must be shipped back within maximum 3 weeks of reception of the Elios 3. If the traded-drone is not shipped back within this time frame, the full amount of the discount will be invoiced to the customer.
