SYDNEY, NSW: 06 August 2015 - DJI have just added a third drone to their Phantom 3 lineup: the Phantom 3 Standard. This slightly more affordable drone is aimed at first time users who want to enjoy a simpler flying experience. The Phantom 3 Standard comes equipped with a 2.7K HD camera capable of shooting up to 30fps through a 94 degree, distortion free lens, as well as 12 megapixel JPEG and DNG raw stills. The Phantom 3 Standard's real innovation comes with its autonomous flight modes. These include:
- Follow Me - The drone intelligently follows the users.
- Point of Interest - The user defines a point of interest, which the drone circles around at a given radius and altitude, keeping this point in the centre of the frame.
- Waypoint Navigation - The user can set a number of waypoints which the drone will fly between autonomously, leaving the user free to control the camera's pan and tilt for perfect framing.
The Phantom 3 Standard is now available through our online store.
