SYDNEY, May 28, 2021 - In support of Virgin's new Velocity program partnership with 7-Eleven Australia, the two companies turned to Sphere Drones to develop a solution to give the public a chance to see what drone delivery is all about and win great prizes at the same time.
Yesterday, The Domain in Sydney was transformed into a runway for a DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone equipped with a specially developed drop mechanism filled with prizes, including free fuel vouchers, lunch for a month and coffee for a year thanks to 7-Eleven, and $711 fuel vouchers.
The payload drop mechanism was built from Sphere Drones' already-existing payload drop mechanism, with the delivery box custom made to match Virgin and 7-Eleven's branding.
If you are interested in finding out more about Sphere Drones' offerings or our payload, drop mechanism, please contact us via our contact page or start a live chat using the button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Below is a short video, including the drone delivering the package.
