When it comes to the majority of drones being flown around the world today, commercial or consumer, they are powered using a single or multiple Lithium-ion batteries. And one issue we all know Lithium-ion batteries are susceptible to when something goes wrong is puffing up and catching alight.
This is where a product like the offerings from STOREMASTA come in. STOREMASTA currently sells two Lithium-ion battery charging and storage cabinets to suit a wide range of needs, a 250L and a 30L model.
Features
The 250L model features 12 charging points or outlets, allowing for up to 12 battery chargers to be connected at one time. The smaller 30L model features 8 charging points or outlets.
Both doors automatically close and perfectly seal with each other and the cabinet to ensure a fire doesn't spread. The walls, floor, door, and roof of both units are doubled walled sheet steel with a gap of at least 40 mm between the two to act as an insulating barrier against the heat and flames. The cabinets also contain a self-contained sump, allowing for any liquids to drip through the bottom of the cabinet.
Why would you want one?
