GUIDE TO: DJI's Zenmuse Z30

08 September, 2017 | Resources

DJI's Zenmuse Z30 is an extraordinary camera that has a dramatic optical zoom of up to 30x and a digital zoom of 6x making it ideal for detailed inspections. As the zoom is remarkably powerful, any motion from the drone in flight is very notable. Hence DJI have incorporated leading gimbal technology in stabilisation. This camera is a workhorse that makes completing the task at hand a whole lot easier, swifter and safer.

The Z30 provides solutions to many industries as it allows tasks to be completed with ease. It is DJI's most powerful zoom lens, built with a lightweight telephoto lens able to capture full HD 1080p in up to 30fps.

The Z30 allows inspectors to closely identify a subject or structure with intense detail without being put into a dangerous situation. By doing so the inspector avoids the need for expensive and hazardous crane equipment which then also avoids the risks for workers. The technology allows the inspection of small details on structures that are often undetectable, to be seen with fine detail. Some examples of inspections that are made easy and safe by the Z30 are cell tower inspections, wind turbine inspection and firefighting.

It makes a drastic difference to inspection facilities as the operations are completed with efficiency as data can be accessed onsite and remotely all while also allowing facilities to stay open and running instead of shut down while inspections are taking place.

When it comes to surveillance you want to be able to identify a subject quickly with ease. Drones are used to execute aerial inspections swiftly and precisely with the help of the Z30 camera investigative teams use the technology to target a person or subject of interest in the most complex instances with the finest detail.
