MAVIC PRO VS PHANTOM 4 PRO

DJI Mavic PRO vs DJI Phantom 4 PRO

When the Mavic Pro was announced it really was a massive step forward in drone technology. The Phantom 4 Pro also still a big competitor as the qualities it possesses are just as revolutionary. The biggest and most obvious difference between the two is of course the size. The Mavic was pitched by DJI to be able to fit into your pocket making it easier for travellers to capture their journeys.

One of the main differences between the two would be the camera. The Mavic's camera has a smaller FOV which allows it to focus as close as 0.5m as well as being able to rotate 90° for portrait shots and even a cheeky selfie. While the Phantom 4 Pro has a larger FOV making it better for landscape images.

The last major difference would be the remote controllers. The Phantom 4 Pro controller is the same as the past remotes in the Phantom series as you must connect your smartphone or tablet as well as having a few small differences. The Mavic controller's have an inbuilt LCD screen that allows you to view some more of the information from your smartphone about the aircraft as well as acting as a guide to notify you of obstacles and low power.
