Surprise Surprise!!!

With DJI celebrating their 10 year anniversary, the team have released a Phantom 3 4K drone to add to everyones wish list!

The Phantom 3 4K drone share similarities to the very popular Phantom 3 Professional and also the entry level Phantom 3 Standard. So what is different you may ask?

Similarities to the Professional and Advanced:

This drone was created for the high-level aerial photographer and cinematographer

3-Axis Camera Stabilization Gimbal

Built-in Camera Captures 4K video & 12.4M Photos

4S 15.2V 4480mAh Intelligent Flight Battery

57W Charger (found in the Phantom 3 Advanced)

Four Pairs of Propellers

The Phantom 3 4K Remote Controller is the main difference here between the drones hence the price difference.

The remote uses Wifi Video Downlink wirelessly to your phone. There is no Lightbridge built into the remote. This means the video transmission distance is reduced to 1200m (outdoors and unobstructed).

The remote control also does not have all the bells and whistles that the Phantom 3 Professional has. For one it does not feature the physical buttons around the top of the remote like the push to record video button on the top left nor the shutter button on the top right. It also does not feature the two custom buttons on the back that you can customise to your needs on the Phantom 3 Professional.

Nevertheless this is a great addition to the Phantom line-up so that now entry level flyers can achieve 4k video at an affordable price.
