Sphere Drones hosts a successful Launch Event for the Flyability Elios 2 in Sydney

On July 10th, Sphere Drones welcomed 40+ guests in Alexandria to introduce them to the much anticipated Flyability Elios 2. The afternoon was the first chance for many to see the Elios 2 in the flesh, with attendees from industries such as aviation, power generation, mining, infrastructure, UAV services and water utilities.

Sphere Drones CEO, Paris Cockinos kicked off the afternoon with an introduction to the current state of the drone industry in Australia and how Sphere Drones is supporting Australia’s biggest companies country wide in end-to-end support of their UAV programs.

Harrison Shalhoub, Product Manager at Sphere Drones took the audience through the key upgrades that Flyability have improved on since the initial Elios was brought to market 3 years ago and showed us how Flyability have taken the Elios 2 to a whole new level in terms of safety, efficiency and quality of internal inspections using UAVs. We were fortunate to hear from Graeme Normington at Q-Survey who was able to speak from experience having owned the Elios 1 for many years as an operator and how he was blown away by the stability and visibility of the Elios 2. Graeme’s feedback was reinforced once the live demonstrations took place where attendees were exposed to the key features including GPS-free stabilisation, distance lock and oblique lighting.

Sphere Drones and those who attended have great confidence in the way the Elios 2 is propelling the UAV industry forward and will now embark on individual site-visits to further demonstrate the Elios 2 and it’s capabilities. With Sphere Drones being the exclusive training and service centre for Flyability in Australia, they are set-up to support the growing demand.
